Hello, Dolly!

Inspired by the title song of the 1964 musical later adapted as the 1969 film starring Barbra Streisand, Hello Dolly  takes place in New York in the 1890’s.  This piece remembers the climactic scene at the Harmonia Gardens in which Dolly, dressed in a dramatic gold dress enters via a grand, red-carpeted staircase to be serenaded by the unforgettable Louis Armstrong.  As iconic as it is inspiring, Hello Dolly evokes the elegance and enthusiasm of late 19th century America.
