Sea Anemone. Acrylic on canvas. 6 x 6 inches. (2017). $75–SOLD
The sea anemone is a cnidarian sea animal, which dwells mainly in tropical reefs, although some species have been found in colder waters, and other environments such as intertidal reefs and kelp. While sea anemones are predatory, these beautiful animals also live in symbiotic relationships with certain types of algae, varying species of shrimp and marine snails, and most notably, the clown fish. This piece remembers the underwater beauty of these complex and intricate sea creatures.
